Friendly Plastic

This is great stuff.  It's plastic that you heat and shape with a heat gun or on a griddle.  These are my first attempt!

Tag Tuesday - Clocks

I never seem to find the time to do what I want to do - here is my 'clocks' tag.  All I had time for was this digital offering..

Molly doll & Alex

I know I'm biased but aren't they just gorgeous?

Dark Side of the Moon Jacket

My husband is a Pink Floyd fan, so I embellished this denim jacket for him.

I cut out thin strips of fabric in rainbow colours and zig-zag stitched them to the jacket.

I'm really pleased how it turned out and so is he  :-)

A Heart for Molly

My gorgeous daughter, Alex is expecting a baby girl so I made this hanging heart for her nursery wall. (Inspired by Carolyn Saxby's hearts)

It's embellished with free motion stitching, lots of assorted bits and bobs including tyvek beads and inchies.
I can't wait to be a granny :-)

She is going to call her Molly. xXx

Tag Tuesday - Bunting

Jubilee Tag

Here is my tag to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.  Strips of coloured fabric cut out to the Union flag design and stitched onto play foam backing with tiny bunting flags cut out of the scraps.

Spring Flowers

Spring Flowers:
I have been very lazy and haven't been uploading my Tag Tuesday tags recently so here is a job lot!
This is my tag for 'Spring Flowers'.

Finders Keepers
Found Objects

Found Objects - I found the driftwood, shell and pottery on the beach at Northam, Bideford which is my home town and one of the North Devon's Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  I discovered after a bit of Googling that the piece of stoneware is part of an old ginger beer bottle.  They were made in the 1920s so this one hasn't travelled very far in all that time! They are quite collectable if you mange to find a whole one.

Gardening Tag
Mary, Mary, Quite contrary,
how does your garden grow
With silver bells and cockle shells
And pretty maids all in a row.

Purple:  for this tag I used a Dulux paint colour card trimmed to the same size as a regular tag.  I used the trimmings to make the 'I love Purple' cut-outs.

Tag Tuesday - Book of Kells

Tag Tuesday
Tag Tuesday
I chose the Book of Kells as inspiration for the lettering and decoration for my 'Book' theme this week.
I used tea and distress ink to age the torn paper pages and tag.  For the illuminated letters (which spell Tag Tuesday)  I used black and gold Uni Posca markers and Derwent inktense for colour.  I added a piece of plaited string to finish.
It was great fun to do and I'm very pleased with the end result.

Tag Tuesday - Poetry & Prose

This week for Tag Tuesday I made my tag using card offcuts from another project.  The tag was painted with acrylics and inks and sprayed with cosmic shimmer mist.  I painted the offcuts with various different purple mediums such as Derwent inktense, nail varnish, and acrylic paint. I also added a bit of shot silk and purple satin ribbon.  As purple is my signature colour, I signed it with a purple fingerprint.
