White

'White' tag - week 3

Here is my effort for Tag Tuesday

It's a white card tag with embellished inchies and
fabric beads decorated with white, pearl and
silver bugles, seed beads and silver wire.

To finish, I punched the corners with little hearts and
added white satin and organza ribbon

Tag Tuesday

Yay, I have joined Tag Tuesday
It's great to see all the different styles and ideas everyone comes up with.

Here is my contribution.  I didn't have an actual luggage tag so I used a piece of lilac felt roughly the right size.  I then cut two pieces of cotton, one slightly smaller than the other, frayed the edges and machined them to the felt.  I embroidered snowflakes decorated with beads and finally added some sparkly organza ribbon.
I'm quite please with how it turned out.

Yuletide Craftiness

Here are some of the bits and bobs I've been making this festive season.
 Decoration for the door
Some yummy chocolate orange fudge to give away
I decorated each jar with a bit of gingham and organza,
some fabric beads, an inchie and an organza bow

 Solstice Cards:
These I made using a Wordle image and printed onto card then
embellished with some recycled ribbon.
Create your own Wordle image
 A cute heart door hanger:
A few Inchies:
I used play foam sheets instead of batting this time
and I found them easier to sew and the foam gives a much firmer finish
and a few tyvek beads.

Stained Glass

I started off with an old bathroom cabinet

removed the glass and designed a simple pattern of purple seedy glass and clear cathedral glass.
I cut the glass and lead to fit the pattern and use horseshoe nails to hold in place

and spot solder the joins
I use cement to secure the glass

  • and sprinkle whiting over the entire piece which dries out the cement

  • Once it is all cleaned off, I use black leading compound and then polish and fit the windows.

and replace the doors to the cupboard which was stripped and sanded
Finally, I fitted these cute spiral handles

    Another note book cover

    Decorated Denim

A denim jacket I got from eBay which I decorated with purple  and gold silk and gold thread.  My favourite combination of colours.  I looks good and I love wearing it.

    Love is all you need

This is a small wall hanging I made for valentines day.  Most of the bits and bobs were left over from the festive season.  I've used assorted buttons, Terry's chocolate orange wrapper, foil top and wire from wine and champagne bottles, a tiny bell, felt and sweet wrappers

    VW Camper Van Friends

I recently made this throw and cushion as a wedding gift for some friends who have a VW campervan. As usual, I started with some lovely fabric and a photo of their camper and then the project evolved from there.
